This is a Faculty-fic, but I (like many others, I suspect) stumbled on this fandom in my neverending quest for more things Elijah Wood. So if you like Elijah or Josh Hartnett, even if you haven't seen the movie, you might like this story. Hope, my talented and gracious host, has a really cool site about The Faculty here, if you are interested in the movie and how it is an absolutely treasure trove of fanfic possibility!

When I started writing this story I had no idea it was going to turn into this sort of epic...or that chapters were going to be as long as they are. Therefore, highest praise and regard goes out to Hanarobi, who became my beta after chapter two. She has been my sounding board, number one fan and shoulder-to-cry-on, as well as a constant friend.

Now, just gotta be thanking in advance every single person who writes me with feedback. I don't know if it comes across, but I read and cherish every single word. It's what keeps me going on this...so yeah, the term "hopeless feedback slut" does apply.

Be warned, though. There be angst here. Buckets and barrells of it --- but, I hope, never entirely unrealistic.
